The Young Punx – Fire ’08

The ever hyperactive Young Punx follow a string of consistent releases with an attractive offering. Combining flamenco guitar and hooky vocals (Sting eat your heart out) to a bumpy, as ever well funky, electro-house backing track, ‘Fire’ is … a fine club choon that, rare occurrence, will work in commercial clubs and cooler parties alike.”
Review in M7/M8 (Jerry Bouthier)

As part of the promotion for the release of their debut album “Your music is killing me”, The Young Punx are pleased to release several mixes of the fan favorite “Fire”.

A killer electro house track mashing up tight synth basslines with an 80s style vocal hook to die for, and a hot flamenco vibe, this is sure to be a big track for the summer. The song is already causing a stir via including on the Kitsune Boombox compilation and a mashup of “Fire” with “Bigger than Big” by SuperMal, which SuperMal themselves are playing out, including on their new Radio One guest mix!

The track is co-produced with The Young Punx’s protégée – the 7 foot Italian wonderkid “Phonat” who also provides a great French sounding glitchy club remix for the package, along with a totally insane electro mix by Space Cowboy and a straight down the line club smash from Solitaire.
